AMBULATORY CARE

OBJECTIF: La provision de conseils pharmaceutiques est un service professionnel offert par les pharmaciens évoluant dans les milieux communautaires. Afin d'évaluer la qualité de ces services, des instruments de mesure sont toutefois nécessaires. L'objectif de cette étude était de développer un instrument de mesure validé, facile d'utilisation permettant d'évaluer la qualité des interventions auprès des patients.

MÉTHODOLOGIE: La méthode modifiée de Delphi a été utilisée pour discuter avec 2 groupes d'experts de l'instrument de mesure développé. Le premier groupe était composé de 10 pharmaciens d'expérience alors que 10 experts provenant des milieux professionnels et académiques constituaient le deuxième groupe. Le consensus final était évalué selon une série de consultations auprès des 2 groupes d'experts, des employeurs de 5 membres du premier groupe et des membres du comité exécutif de ce projet, réunissant ainsi plus de 35 individus.

RÉSULTATS: La première série de consultations a résulté en un consensus dont le niveau d'accord variait entre 69 et 100%. A l'exception d'un seul item, tous les items de l'instrument de mesure développé ont rencontré les critères prédéfinis d'approbation. Un total de seize indicateurs ont été identifiés dans l'instrument de mesure en question au niveau de trois dimensions spécifiques: patient (4 indicateurs), processus (6) et innovations et apprentissage (6). L'évaluation des services pharmaceutiques dans un plan de prise en charge du patient constitue le coeur de ce projet de développer un instrument de mesure évaluant la qualité des interventions pharmaceutiques.

CONCLUSIONS: La méthode modifiée de Delphi a été utile pour le processus de développement de cet instrument de mesure qui prend en considération de multiples facteurs reliés à l'assurance qualité des services pharmaceutiques.
