Le Vaccin HPV: un Sujet Controverse

Depuis l'autorisation du médicament Gardasil (Merck & Co., Inc.) accordée le 8 juin 2006, le vaccin tétravalent papillomavirus humains (HPV) a fait l'objet d'une couverture médiatique substantielle. Les critiques les plus intarissables maintiennent que son usage va favoriser le partenariat sexuel multiple chez les adolescents et condamnent son usage obligatoire propose en début de scolarité. Certains mettent en doute les preuves de la tolérance du vaccin. Des préoccupations concernant les barrières financières empêchant l'accès du vaccin ont été soulevées par les prescripteurs et les patients. Néanmoins, d'autres soutiennent que des populations additionnelles pourraient bénéficier celles qui n'ont pas été incluses dans les recommandations actuelles. Une clarification est essentielle afin de garantir l'usage optimal de cet important nouveau vaccin.
