Abuso de Substancias: los Nuevos Datos son un Motivo Para la Acción

El abuso de substancias es un problema de elevada prevalencia. Los resultados del estudio epidemiológico nacional sobre alcohol y condiciones relacionadas muestra que aproximadamente uno de cada 10 americanos tendrán un trastorno de abuso de substancias durante su vida. Los farmacéuticos son profesionales críticos para reconducir este problema. Diariamente están tratando con pacientes que abusan de substancias. El abuso de medicamentos de prescripción es epidémico. Se describen los resultados de este estudio reciente y se proporcionan sugerencias para realizar actividades de formación e intervenciones para ayudar a los farmacéuticos a reconducir este problema de ámbito nacional.
